Jameson and Partners Ltd are delighted with their recent success at the Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2016.

Eleanor Finch, 21, won ‘Young Apprentice of the Year’ at the annual, glittering, ceremony at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham on October 20th.

She began her apprenticeship at Jameson and Partners Ltd in January, when the agency first opened its doors. Keen to get into the property industry after leaving school, Eleanor considered an apprenticeship the best way to gain insight and experience in the industry. The role has seen her take on a range of responsibilities, including: liaising with landlords and tenants, property management and maintenance, arranging viewings, conducting and winning valuations and facilitating the buying and selling of properties.

Eleanor was put forward by her manager, Jennifer Jameson, for her outstanding contribution to the company’s Sales and Lettings department.

Jennifer said: “Eleanor is fully deserving of this award and we are delighted for her efforts to be recognised”.

She continued: “She started her apprenticeship with no experience in the sector, but was eager to learn, worked tirelessly and picked up everything at an impressive speed. She also had a steep learning curve, and was given a lot of responsibility early on, since we are a new start up. She not only assists with both sales and lettings, but also in the day-to-day running of the business. I couldn’t imagine a more deserving candidate.”

Eleanor has just completed level three of her ARLA qualification, and is currently working towards a level three NAEA sales qualification.

Eleanor found her apprenticeship through Positive Outcomes, one of the UK’s leading specialists in work-based training and apprenticeships. They helped to prepare Eleanor to enter the industry, giving her guidance on administration protocols, relevant legislation and the property management process.

When asked why she chose an apprenticeship, she said: “I was very interested in forging a career in the property sector and I thought an apprenticeship would be the best way to gain the experience I needed, whilst also being a good opportunity to get paid to learn. Positive Outcomes were fantastic. They helped support me through my early days within the property industry, guiding me on the basics through to the most detailed aspects of property maintenance. The have enabled me to develop to the level of a managerial role within Jamesons lettings department in an extremely short period of time. My manager, Jennifer, has been exceptionally supportive of me in my role.”

On her award, Eleanor said: “I am incredibly humbled to have won this award. I am so pleased that my hard work and determination has paid off and gained recognition through this incredible platform. The Altrincham business community have made me feel extremely welcome and this award is fantastic for promoting the benefits of an apprenticeship to the younger generation. I am especially pleased to have made my family proud, as they have displayed un-shakeable support in me from the outset.”

Kelly Ball, the manging director of Positive Outcomes, said: “We’d like to congratulate Eleanor on her award, we’re all delighted for her. She is an outstanding apprentice, and has clearly had a big impact at Jameson and Partners office in Altrincham. It just goes to show how much value apprentices can add to a business.”

Jameson and Partners were also named ‘Runner Up’ in the Best Start-Up Business category at the awards.

Jennifer Jameson said: “We are very happy to have been names as runners up in this category, facing stiff competition. We will continue to strive to dedicate our time and energy to ensure the best customer service and the best results for all of our clients.”
